Our 100 Watt laser system can accommodate material sizes up to 40 inches wide, and up to 12 feet in length.
We can cut materials up to 1/2 an inch thick, or engrave up to 8 inches in height.
Generally we cut or engrave organic materials like wood, fabric, stone, tile, and even metals, but can easily cut or etch plastics like acrylic, PVC, Coroplast, and even foam. Also materials like leather, paper, Mylar, fiberglass, Corian, MDF, balsa, plywood, sandpaper, cork, rubber, and some composites.
We do not cut metals. Metal cutting requires special set up and an environment that is unique to the type of metal being cut. We can however surface engrave or etch most types of metal.
The design of a laser cutting system allows us to cut to an accuracy of 3 thousandths of an inch (about the same thickness as the finest human hair) and since it uses a beam of light to perform the cutting process, there is no contact with the material being laser cut.
Simply put, we can cut material much thinner than any physical method of cutting is able to because the laser beam has no friction and vaporizes the material it is cutting.
The power of the laser beam is so perfect that it can cut material like sign vinyl without cutting through the paper backing.
There is really no limit to what our laser can do with a bit of imagination, and a good solid idea, we can produce just about anything you require.
